Why it matters

NCLC 7 is not a number.
It is a different set of options.

Immigration points

Express Entry and most provincial programs score French by NCLC level. Reaching 7 across all four skills unlocks the largest French bonus available.

Work and study

Interviews, meetings, formal email, a lease, a doctor’s appointment. The course is built around the situations that actually decide things.

Everyone else

No exam, no application, no deadline — just wanting to speak French properly. The same path works, minus the timer.

How it works

Twenty minutes. Six steps.
Every single lesson.

No endless streak of vocabulary cards. Each lesson is a real situation you will actually face, taken apart and rebuilt until you can handle it yourself.

  1. 01

    Read the situation

An illustrated scene and the conversation inside it. You see the moment before you study it.

  2. 02

    Notice the language

The four expressions that carry the scene, with the meaning and the register that go with them.

  3. 03

    Build the sentence

Assemble it yourself from the pieces. Word order is where most learners quietly break.

  4. 04

    Write it independently

No scaffolding. Produce the French yourself, the way an exam or a colleague will ask you to.

  5. 05

    Knowledge check

One question that proves the point stuck. Wrong answers become review items, not shame.

  6. 06

    Recap and move

What you can now do, in one line, then straight into the next scene.

Try it now

Ninety seconds.
One real lesson.

This is Lesson 1, exactly as it appears in the app — scene, language, and the moment you produce it yourself. No account needed for this one.

  • Illustrated scene, drawn for this lesson
  • The phrase that carries it, with register
  • You build the answer — the app checks it
Lesson 1 · Se présenter NCLC 1
Illustrated scene: two people meeting for the first time and introducing themselves in French.
La situation

You meet a colleague on your first day. She says hello and gives her name.

La phrase

« Bonjour, je m’appelle Camille. Et vous ? »

Hello, my name is Camille. And you? — vous, because it is a first meeting at work.

À vous

She has just introduced herself. Which reply is right for the moment?

Inside the app

Everything is drawn, narrated
and written for this course.

Illustrated BonjourPro scene: two people meeting and greeting each other in French.

Two hundred illustrated scenes

Every lesson has its own artwork — the situation, the language, the response. Drawn for this course, not pulled from a stock library.

Narration in every lesson

Hear each line at a natural pace, then slowed. Pronunciation is the first thing an examiner notices and the last thing most apps teach.

A live AI instructor

Speak, and Camille answers in French at your level — correcting one important thing at a time instead of everything at once.

TEF & TCF simulations

Timed, in both formats, with 84 original items each. Listening, reading, speaking and writing — scored the way the real thing is structured.

A readiness score that is honest

Six checks decide whether your practice data actually supports booking a real exam. Miss any one of them and it will tell you plainly that you are not ready yet.

  • Course coverage
  • Two full simulations
  • 75% overall accuracy
  • All four skills measured
  • No skill under 65%
  • Recent activity

Questions

Straight answers.

What is NCLC, and why does it matter?

NCLC (Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens) is Canada’s official scale for French ability — the French counterpart to CLB. Express Entry and most provincial programs award points by NCLC level, and reaching NCLC 7 across all four skills unlocks the largest French-language bonus available. BonjourPro covers the NCLC 1–2 foundation in depth today, with lessons mapped up to NCLC 7 and full exam-format practice; the higher levels are being built out.

Is there a free trial, and can I get a refund?

No free trial, and no money-back guarantee — we would rather be plain about it than surprise you later. Payments for paid plans are final and non-refundable, including for unused time and for cancelling part-way through a period. The Free plan is how you try BonjourPro: no card, no time limit, no expiry. Decide before you pay. Full details are in the refund policy.

Do you prepare me for TEF Canada and TCF Canada?

Yes. Both formats are included as timed simulations with 84 original practice items each, covering listening, reading, speaking and writing. A readiness score tells you when your own practice data supports booking the real exam — and when it does not.

I am not taking an exam. Is this still for me?

Yes. Most of the course is simply the clearest route to speaking French — for work, study, travel, family, or because you want to. Exam preparation is one path through it, not the point of it.

How much time does this take?

About twenty minutes a lesson, fifty lessons. Consistency matters far more than length: a short session most days will take you further than a long one each weekend.

Are you affiliated with IRCC or the exam boards?

No, and we will not imply otherwise. BonjourPro is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IRCC, TEF Canada or TCF Canada. Practice scores are readiness signals, not official language results, and nothing here is immigration advice.

How do I start?

Create a free account and the first lessons are open immediately — no card. Work through them, and if the method suits you, choose the tier that matches what you need. Upgrade or cancel at any time from inside the app. Cancelling stops your next payment and your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for; unused time is not refunded.
