Privacy, explained clearly.

This policy describes the information BonjourPro processes when you learn French, practise with voice, take a simulation, or use a paid membership.

Information we process

We process account identifiers, learning goals and preferences, lesson progress, practice answers, scores, instructor choice, membership status, and limited service-usage records. Payment card information is handled by the payment provider and is not stored by BonjourPro.

Voice, writing, and AI features

Microphone audio is processed only after you activate a speaking feature and permit microphone access. Live instructor conversations may produce transcripts and structured feedback. BonjourPro is designed not to retain raw microphone audio by default. Writing submitted for correction may be processed to return feedback.

Do not share sensitive personal, financial, medical, legal, or immigration-case information with the instructor.

Why we use information

  • Deliver lessons, practice, feedback, and personalized progress.
  • Authenticate accounts and synchronize learning across devices.
  • Manage memberships, usage allowances, security, and abuse prevention.
  • Diagnose reliability issues and improve course quality.
  • Meet legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

Service providers

BonjourPro may use contracted providers for authentication and databases, hosting, payments, AI processing, and media delivery. They process information under their own contractual and security obligations. The current prepared architecture uses Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and OpenAI when those services are connected.

Storage and retention

Without an account, learning data remains in your browser until you reset it or clear browser storage. With an account, synchronized records are kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when required for security, accounting, disputes, or legal obligations. Conversation transcripts should be retained only as long as needed for feedback and service integrity.

Your choices

You can turn Instructor Assist off, deny or revoke microphone permission, export or reset local learning data, download signed-in account data, and request permanent account deletion. You may also cancel a renewing membership through billing management.

Children

BonjourPro is not directed to children under 13. A public launch must apply any additional age-consent requirements that govern the learner's location.

Security and international processing

We use access controls, encrypted transport, short-lived AI session credentials, and server-only secrets. No service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries outside your own, where different laws may apply.
