Refunds, stated plainly.

The Free plan costs nothing and never expires. Paid plans have no free trial, and payments for them are final. This page says exactly what that means, and the short list of situations where we do put the money back.

The short version

Paid plans on BonjourPro are non-refundable. You pay, your plan opens in full immediately, and that payment is not returned.

There are exactly two kinds of exception: charges we got wrong on our side, and rights your local consumer law gives you that you cannot sign away. Both are set out below. Nothing else is a refund route.

BonjourPro is operated by New Marketing Revolution Inc. This policy covers Foundation, Immersion, AI Coach and Canada Exam Pro, monthly and annual, on the web and in our apps. Last updated 17 August 2026.

The Free plan is genuinely free

The Free plan costs nothing. No payment card, no time limit, no expiry date, no obligation to upgrade, and no card details held on file.

The Free plan exists precisely so that nobody has to pay to evaluate BonjourPro. You can see the method, the lesson format and the standard of the material before any money changes hands, for as long as you want.

That is why the paid plans are strict. You are not being asked to buy something you have not been able to look at.

What you get when you pay

Every paid plan unlocks in full the moment payment goes through. The lessons, narration, illustrations, AI features and exam simulations included in your tier are all available to you immediately — there is no drip-feed, no waiting period and nothing held back for later.

Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are shown before applicable tax. The price, the billing period and the renewal date are shown at checkout before you pay.

Your plan renews automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. Renewals are charged the same way as your first payment.

Payments for paid plans are final

We do not refund payments for paid plans. This applies to first payments and to renewals, and to monthly and annual billing equally.

Concretely, we do not refund:

  • change of mind, at any point after payment
  • unused time on a plan you are still paying for
  • the remainder of a billing period when you cancel part-way through
  • a period in which you did not log in, or did not use the features you paid for
  • an annual payment because you later decided monthly would have suited you better
  • a renewal you forgot to cancel before the renewal date
  • dissatisfaction with your own progress, or with how easy, hard or fast the course felt
  • an exam result, an immigration outcome, or any decision made about you by a third party
  • access lost because we suspended or closed your account for breach of our Terms
  • the difference in price when you move to a cheaper plan part-way through a period

This is not a case-by-case judgement. It is the policy, and it applies the same way to everyone.

There is no free trial

No paid plan has a free trial. There is no trial period, no introductory period that converts to a paid one, and no money-back guarantee.

When you subscribe, you are charged that day. The Free plan is the way to try BonjourPro, and it is not a trial — it does not end.

If you ever see a BonjourPro page, ad or app screen that offers a trial, a risk-free period or a money-back guarantee on a paid plan, it is wrong. Tell us and we will correct it.

Cancelling is not a refund

This is the part people get wrong most often, so it is worth being exact about it.

Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not return a payment you have already made.

When you cancel, your plan stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that it stops and your account returns to the Free plan. Your progress stays where it is.

There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, for any reason, from your account settings — you do not have to email us, ask permission or give a reason.

Cancelling the day after a renewal charge does not undo that renewal. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the renewal date. That date is shown in your account at all times, and we email you before an annual renewal.

When we do refund

There is a short list of situations where we put the money back. You do not have to argue for these — tell us and we fix them.

We refund to the original payment method. Card refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

  • we charged you twice for the same period
  • we charged an amount other than the price shown at checkout
  • we charged you after you had cancelled
  • we took payment for a paid feature and then could not deliver it to you at all — meaning a feature of your tier that we withdraw or never make available while you are paying for it, not a bug or a short outage
  • the payment was not authorised by you

We may also grant a refund in a situation not on this list, entirely at our own discretion. If we do, it is a one-off. It does not change this policy and it does not create a precedent for you or for anyone else.

Purchases through the Apple App Store

If you subscribed inside our iOS app, Apple is the seller of that subscription, not us. Apple takes the payment and Apple decides refunds under its own terms.

We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase, and we cannot prevent one either. Requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

To cancel an App Store subscription, use Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling on our website does not cancel an Apple subscription.

If Apple refunds a purchase, the paid features it covered close immediately.

Purchases through Google Play

If you subscribed through Google Play, Google is the seller. Google takes the payment and may grant refunds under its own policies, whatever this policy says.

We cannot issue a refund for a Google Play purchase. Requests go to Google Play first. Where Google directs your request to us, the rest of this policy applies to it.

To cancel, use Subscriptions in the Google Play app. If Google refunds a purchase, the paid features it covered close immediately.

Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in this policy limits or removes a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived. Where such a law gives you a cancellation or refund right that this policy does not, that law applies and we follow it.

In Canada, that includes the Consumer Protection Act (Québec), the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) and the equivalent legislation in your province or territory. If you live in Québec, a choice of another province’s law in our Terms does not take away the protection of Québec law.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a distance purchase, running from the day the contract is made. A subscription is an ongoing service, so that right does not disappear simply because your access opened. If you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid less a proportionate amount for the period the service was available to you. Ask through the contact form and we will send you the withdrawal form and handle it.

If you believe the law where you live gives you a right this policy does not, do not assume you are stuck. Write to us and say so.

Chargebacks

If a charge looks wrong, tell us first. Everything on the refund list above we can usually settle the same day, and far faster than a bank can.

If you file a chargeback instead, your BonjourPro account is suspended while the bank decides. If the bank decides against us, the account stays closed.

Filing a chargeback over a charge that is correct — a renewal you forgot about, a plan you stopped using — is not a way around this policy. We contest those with the record of your purchase, the terms you accepted at checkout and your usage history.

None of this applies to a payment you genuinely did not authorise. Tell us and we will normally refund it before your bank needs to get involved.

Changes to this policy

We can change this policy. The version that governs a payment is the version published on the day you made it, and we keep earlier versions on file.

If a change materially affects what you have already bought, we tell you by email before your next renewal.
